
Below is a list of items I used as research materials whilst designing this site, including Books, CD-ROMs, Videos and Exhibitions. If you have a keen interest in Titanic, may I suggest viewing as many of the items as possible. The books written by Survivors for instance, record vivid and meticulous first-hand accounts of the disaster, while the CD-ROMs provide infinite reference material.

Walter Lord's fascination with Titanic began in 1926 when he was still a small boy. After 20 years of research, he completed his book "A Night To Remember", which has become known as "The best on it's subject".

Titanic & Lusitania.
A fascinating Exhibition showing artifacts from the Disaster, including a survivor's life belt, a Marconigram sent from the Titanic, by Jack Phillips, shortly before she foundered, and the Model of the Ship that was built for the British Inquiry. After seeing the Exhibition, you can visit the old White Star Line offices, which are situated just across the road from the Museum.

Listen to survivors stories as you learn the history of R.M.S Titanic, from her construction in Belfast, to the the discovery of her wreck by Dr Robert Ballard. View videos of her tragic story, and see how the wreck looks today with an 8ft model of her bow section. At the end of the tour, an extensive Titanic souvenir shop can be found with an excellent selection of books, posters and memorabilia.

View a vast amount of Local History concerning Edward J. Smith, including a census taken on 30.03.1851 listing the four occupants of 51 Well Street, (Smith being just 1 year old). A second census, taken 02.04.1871 shows Smith and his half brother, Joseph Hancock, listed as Seamen living at No. 30 Well street.
